Urbanspoon is an IAC/InterActiveCorp-owned restaurant information/recommendation service competing directly with OpenTable. It developed a popular iPhone application and has a website similar to Yelp. In August 2009, the website launched an online restaurant reservations system for last-minute day-of reservations. Depending on how a trial of four top restaurants in Seattle goes, Urbanspoon will make the reservations system available to the 90+ markets it currently includes on its site.
