J. Paul Getty III Dies, Getty Oil Heir, Hippie and Father of Actor Balthazar Getty
J. Paul Getty III passed away in England over the weekend, according to several British newspaper reports. Getty’s son, actor Balthazar Getty, confirmed the news Tuesday that his father died Saturday in Buckinghamshire. Jean Paul Getty III (4 November 1956 – 5 February 2011) was the first of four children of Paul Getty and Gail Harris, the grandson of oil tycoon Jean Paul Getty, and the father of actor Balthazar Getty.
